Jesus didn't fit the popular image people had of the coming Messiah. He didn't arrive riding a stately horse leading an army to liberate the city. Instead he is an army of one riding a donkey to free mankind. This event, which today has become known as Palm Sunday, was predicted 500 years before it happened by the prophet Zechariah;
"Behold your King is coming to you; He is righteous and victorious, lowly riding a donkey, a colt, the foal of a donkey," (Zechariah 9:9)
