Zacchaeus

I’m reading the delightful story of the short tax collector who climbed a tree to get a better look at Jesus who, on seeing him says, “Zacchaeus come down I must stay at your house today.”

Isn’t Jesus asking to stay in my house? How open am I to the invitation? Am I willing change as Zacchaeus did? I don’t need any more motivation than what Jesus said to Zaccheaus.

“Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.”
