Among the Greatest

When Michael Jordan retired from basketball he came to spring training with the White Sox in Sarasota. Don, an ex-Nike rep and Michael play golf. No press, no people. just the two of them.

At one green a small boy with a pad stands with an old man under a tree. "Looking for an autograph," Michael asks. The boy nods. Michael signs the pad. "Now you can tell your schoolmates that you saw Michael Jordan," The man says, "My grandson is blind."

Michael drops to his knees, takes off his baseball cap and with the boy's hands in his, runs them over his face. "Now you can tell your friends you felt Michael Jordan's face and it is ugly."

“Truly I say to you unless you become like this child you are not going to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child will rank with the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:3-4)
