When I read, "Praise God for life and death," in a newsletter I thought, “right on.” I hadn’t thought about praising God for death before but I should. Art Hallett, who authored the newsletter, said “I walked into ‘Granma’s’ room to see if she wanted anything when I realized that she is not there. She is alive in Heaven with Jesus.”
I had a similar experience years ago. My daughter called me six months after her grandfather died and said, “I just realized Pop Pops is not here, I can’t call him anymore.” That realization can be a lonely moment or it can be a freeing one. For believers, death is not final...Praise God.
“For me to live is Christ and to die is gain.” (Philippians 1:21)
