At this time of year we always watch Frank Capra's classic, "It's a Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed.
The main character George Bailey is a good man but blames himself when things start going wrong at his savings and loan. He contemplates suicide. He has misplaced his faith. An angel is dispatched to rescue George from himself.
The message is an important reminder that when our heart is right and we help others God will bail us out just as George Bailey is delivered in the film. It is a wonderful life when we see God in it.
“The blessing of the Lord makes one rich and He adds no sorrow to it.”
