March 23
He is barefooted in wet shorts cradling a towel. "Need any golf balls today?" The man has been in ponds and bushes where most Florida golfers fear to tread.
"Don't need any?" my playing partner replies and without thinking I echo, "I'm all set thank you."
The man says nothing, just turns and shuffles off looking at the ground. My next tee shot is awful. I turn to my partner and say, "I should have bought some balls from that guy." I clearly hear in my mind:
“I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.” (Matthew 25:45)
